Description
Shortcut Run is a clever racing game that turns the track into a strategic puzzle. Unlike a standard race where you just follow the path, here the "shortest distance between two points" is a literal bridge you build yourself. By collecting floorboards scattered along the course, you gain the ability to run over water and skip entire sections of the track. The catch is the physics of the stack: the higher your pile of boards, the heavier and slower your character becomes. This creates a constant "risk vs. reward" dynamic where you have to decide if a massive shortcut is worth the speed penalty, or if it's better to stay light and fast on the main path. Tactical Elements Stack Management: You must constantly monitor your board count. If you run out of boards while over the water, you’ll fall in and be reset to the last checkpoint, losing valuable time. Opponent Interaction: You can actually "steal" the paths built by other players. If an opponent builds a bridge, you can run across it without using any of your own boards, saving your resources for a later sprint. The Finish Line Sprint: At the end of the race, any leftover boards provide a massive score multiplier as you use them to run as far as possible into the "multiplier zone."
